Scholarship

Post-matric scholarship is provided by the Ministry of Minority Affairs (MOMA) for the uplift of students belonging to minority communities. Under this post-matric scholarship for minorities, students studying in class 11 to PhD are offered up to ₹ 10,000 annually to pursue higher education.

Rate of Scholarship

An amount equivalent to Admission and Course/Tuition Fee and Maintenance allowance, subjected to a maximum ceiling. See Instructions for details.

Eligibility

Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students is implemented by the Department of Higher Education since 2008. The objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to the meritorious students, to meet a part of their day-to-day expenses while pursuing higher studies.

Eligibility

· Students who are above 80th percentile of successful candidates in the relevant stream from a particular Board of Examination in Class XII
· Pursuing regular course · Having family income of less than ₹ 6 lakh per annum

· Not receiving any other scholarship.

Methodology adopted for generating Scholarship is renewed  every year to Post Graduate level in the same stream. For all professional courses, scholarship will be renewed till the Graduation level. For all the courses the scholarship would be renewed up to a maximum of five (5) years. The renewal of scholarship is further subject to the student meeting the following criteria:- (i) Secured 60 % or more marks for the two preceding semesters or annual examination which determines his/her promotion to the next class, (ii) maintenance of attendance of at least 75 % by the scholars and (iii) maintenance of discipline i.e. the scholars should not have been involved in any ragging activities.

Any single girl child, being the only child of her parents, is eligible to apply for the PG scholarship scheme. The scheme applies to such a single girl child who has taken admission to the first-year master's degree programmes. The age of the girl student should not exceed 30 years at the time of admission.
